HA says authentication expired, but device is working

I have an ESPHome device that’s been working quite happily, today HA is telling me that the authentication has expired. However the device is present in the ESPHome integration (only one copy) and working normally, i.e. I can see and control all the device entities from HA, so it is definitely connected.

Any ideas on what would be causing this?

Never mind, I just installed the latest HA version which of course triggered a restart of HA, and the error has disappeared.
