HA Yellow CM5 Imaging Issues

It seems that a fair number of users are experiencing problems with imaging NVMe drives when updating HA Yellow to the CM5 module.
After struggling multiple times, I have never been able to have my Yellow CM5 Lite be recognized as a valid drive to the RPI Imager. I believe this to be a Windows (11) problem not recognizing the USB device as a valid drive. Imaging to a separate USB drive or an SD card is possible but moving that drive image to the Yellow NVMe drive doesn’t seem possible or at least straight forward. In the meantime, I have ordered a USB/NVMe adapter to see if imaging the NVMe directly will get my Yellow on line.
Notably, plugging the CM5 into my RPI CM breakout board and adding an SD card makes the whole imaging process possible but that doesn’t help with the Yellow NVMe problem. It does prove out the CM5 module and the setup and process.

Update: I dug out my old Toshiba laptop and installed Linux mint. Linux doesn’t recognize the Yellow as a storage device for the RPI Imager either. So, not unique to Win 11.
Is it possible that RPIBoot is not loading the correct boot image?
