I have a HA Yellow with a Zooz GPIO Module 800LR, currently running the April '25 release of HA. Everything was working fine – I could access it from my phone (via a Nabu Casa subscription) and my browser.
Then, all ethernet connectivity was lost. HA worked fine one day, but the next morning I couldn’t access it. I didn’t do an update or make any setting changes the day before it became unreachable. Now I can’t access it from my phone or browser, and Nabu Casa says it is not connected.
Interestingly, I know HA is still running and working – scheduled lights turn on and off, my Z-Wave remotes still work, and zone-based automations are firing. I just can’t access the HA interface via IP. My wifi connected functionality doesn’t work, but that makes sense to me since it was hooked up to my wifi router via ethernet.
And this isn’t the first time it has happened; it’s the third time in three months. Each time I eventually got it working again, most recently by doing a full reinstallation from backup. I first detailed my problem here. It can be solved by following the directions there, but if I do that, I will feel like I’m just treating a symptom and not the problem. Just temporarily restoring access until it inevitably disconnects again.
I like HA, but dealing with the same problem repeatedly makes me think I might be better off switching to a less-capable but more-stable system.
Does anyone have any thoughts on what might be causing this problem?
Thank you for any help you can provide.
