HA Yellow POE not powering on

My HA has been running good for the past year with no issues. We had a electrical storm and lost power. HA didn’t power back up. I tried using a different poe port on my switch with no luck so I plugged in a regular power supply and it boots up and runs and works fine. Any ideas of why the poe would not work and is there a way to troubleshoot it?

Electrical surges from storms can damage delicate components, and PoE circuitry is often one of the first to fail.

Consider using an Ethernet + passive PoE splitter to inject power externally if onboard PoE is permanently damaged.

Thanks for the reply. I am considering just building a new unit with a cm5 as my current setup is a cm4. One other question. My current unit has a 1tb NVMe SSD. Can that be used on the new unit and whoudnit be as simple as removing it from the old and installing on the new or is there more to it?

Sorry im not familiar with the cm4 or 5 i never use it before , i dont see why you cant use your m2 those are plug and play and if you are upgradinf from 4 to 5 i guess you dont have to format will work right away
