HACS " Action is disabled while background tasks is running."

Cannot get out of this loop. All functions on HACS are greyed with this message and the status bar keeps scrolling. I think* it’s trying to update but it’s been running for a long time. I’ve tried rebooting a couple times too and that didn’t fix it…

Had this problem too. It was posted on github, and the dev said to manually reinstall. It worked for me.
