Returning to HA after a hiatus and I seem to have forgotten more than I knew and I didn’t know that much to begin with!
I am looking to incorporate the 3rd Party Bambu Integration into HA and it appears I have to install HACS first. Seems like things haven’t got any easier for somebody who doesn’t like to get his hands dirty!
Anyway before I install anything I thought I’d better check to see if HACS and the Bambu integration are compatible with Buster (yeah I know but it just works) before I break anything?
I am running the latest HA version but I noticed when I upgraded it and MQTT earlier that Node-RED v19.0.0 would not update my existing v18.1.1. due to not being compatible with ARM v7 any longer which made me wonder about installing HACS & the Bambu integration.
Also when looking at the HACS install guide on PiMyLifeUp it would appear I first need to know whether I am running the Home Assistant Operating System, Home Assistant Container, Supervised or Core as the installation process is slightly different. Well to be honest I am not sure and even navigating to the About page as advised gives the following;
- Core2025.1.4
- Supervisor2024.12.3
- Operating System
- Frontend20250109.2
To confuse me even further when I update I do see references to Container/Docker but what version am I actually running and am I able to install HACS on my Pi 4 running Buster please?
Secondly is the Bambu integration capable of running on my system also please?
As I said it just seems to work as is and I don’t think I have it in me to update or install the latest version of OS and HA so thought I’d check in with you guys to see how best to proceed before I break anything.
Thanks & kind regards,
