HACS Start Up

How long should it take?
I’m getting this…

I’ve uninstalled the original version from last year sometime when it was just…
" Home Assistant Community Add-Ons" in the Add-On store… Which still shows up… should it?

HACS isn’t related to add-ons. The Community add-on store is an entirely unrelated thing.

Ahhh… So that’s a good thing… I thought they were and I had some “legacy” thing hanging around…

THX!

So… No ideas?
I’ve tried manually installing… it apparently gets “Configured” but I’m never able to browse its offerings.

sounds like it’s not installed properly. What have you done?

See above…

I have other custom components so I have a Custom Components folder that is recognized and the other components are function correctly.

  1. Removed the prior installation (pre GitHub) by renaming the folder… then bouncing HA
  2. Un-zipped the replacement, obtained from GitHub, bounced HA and then configured HACS and then bounced HA again. - No Joy… never started
  3. Repeated steps 1 and 2 but this time I used the Terminal and SSH tool to pull the assemblies down
Capture and install… No Joy… never started
  4. Made this post…lol

Renaming the folder does not remove the prior installation, you have to remove the folder.

So… renaming… and bouncing the machine has no affect?

It disappeared from the menu… so I assumed it was gone OR at least any internal links were broken

<> Ok… all HACS folders are gone… I bounced the machine… and again ran the script… and am bouncing the machine as I type…

HA tries to load everything in the custom_components folder, even if it is not configured anymore.

Ok… installed again…
Using these instructions

Capture
and
Capture1
entered my token information and got
Capture3
opened the configuration… touched NOTHING…

and bounced the machine again…

I’m standing by for it to return
<>
Ok… its back and Its showing the same info in my orginal post… the “About” shows

I’ll give the tool an hour to update and report back

There were no details above about how you installed  which is why I asked.

Oh… not a problem…
So… I got the same results… aka the HACS main menu is non reactive and only the “About” responds to mouse clicks.

Just to be complete… it never started up… never populated and I cannot pull down installs

Seems like something is blocking you from the internet in some way, shape, or form. Also your github token could be wrong.

You’d also see errors in your ha text logs.

I thought that too… so I got a new one… Would HACS accept one that wasn’t valid?
System Log is full of these…

I did go into my Cookie setings and made sure that all cookies from GitHub.com would be accepted

those aren’t errors, that’s just information.

Have you cleared your browser cache?

I agree… just messages…
Yep multiple times…

I’ve also confirmed that I’m running the most current ver 1.2.2
