The Hamulight Apex L2446 remote is a special beast and it took me a while to get into it.
There are already projects which cover simpler remotes from Hamulight using ASK/OOK modulation which can be covered using F1000A or RTX882. But the L2446 has FSK modulation and requires a CC1101 (or anything that can handle FSK). A Broadcom RM-Pro or RM4-Pro can't handle FSK either AFAIK.
It can even somewhat sync up with the state the remote maintains.
There is even no L2246 required at all.
