Hello. My HA is running on Proxmox. I have a separate machine in the same local network that is running TrueNAS only. This is at my home. I would like my HA to save the videos from my outdoor cameras on TrueNAS storage. How do I do that? This is probably question for Proxmox community, but I thought it might be a good idea to ask it here. Thank you.
HA > settings > system > storage > add network storage
you must of course have an applicable share setup on your nas
I think I got that part done, but how and where do I specify where to save video recordings, space, etc?
it would not have anything to do with proxmox, if you are wanting to save to truenas.
in truenas you would want to create 1 or more shares, then in the home assistant web settings as previously indicated, point to those share(s).
if you need help using truenas, you should refer to their documentation and/or forums/reddit.
as for proxmox, as far as I remember, it does not provide ‘nas’ or shares services directly, you would do this via a vm or container that does the sharing. See proxmox documentation/forums/reddit for further info.
