HAOS Dell Wyse 5070 don't boot

Hi everyone, I bought a used Dell Wyse 5070 with an SSD and I’m trying to install HA OS on it. I’m slowly losing my mind because the Wyse just won’t boot.

First, I tried starting the Wyse from a Linux USB stick, but that didn’t work. It recognizes the stick, but it won’t boot from it. I’ve tried various settings in Rufus and used two different USB sticks.

After that, I flashed HA OS onto the SSD using balenaEtcher. It recognizes the SSD, but it’s stuck in a constant boot loop. I’ve reflashed the SSD several times and even fully formatted it before flashing.

I’ve configured the following BIOS settings:

Secure Boot: disabled
UEFI Boot Path Security: Never
SATA Operation: AHCI
USB Boot Support: Enabled
Intel SGX: Disabled
Fastboot: Thorough

Does anyone have any idea why this isn’t working for me?

What image are you flashing to the SSD?

I assume you are following the docs as opposed to some 2 year old video?

Sorry if I am stating the obvious but the number of times we find new users following out of date guides means we need to ask?

If you have a new and unused SSD are you aware that Wyze 5070 only supports msata disks? Just came in to my mind even though that still doesn´t explain why it won´t boot from USB…
I installed HAOS to my 5070 with the instructions above and I haven´t had any issues.
