Hello,
2 days ago a Home Assistant Operating System update was released and I started the update. Then suddenly the system crashed. I couldn’t connect via http://homeassistant.local:8123/, nor via the local IP address or the external IP address.
Then I restarted the Raspberry Pi 5 a few times by unplugging and plugging the power back in. After a few attempts, the system worked, but it couldn’t load anything beyond itself.
Then I reverted to my old backup. Everything returned to normal. After one minute, the system completely crashed.
I took out the SD card and copied the backups to my computer. Then I tried to format and reinstall using Raspberry Pi Imager, but I got an error.
I tried to format it using Windows Command Prompt, but I got a “Data error (cyclic redundancy check)” error. I think this means the SD card is dead now.
I ordered a new SD card and made a fresh installation on it via Raspberry Pi Imager (Home Assistant OS 15.2 rpi 5). But this time I’m getting the following error:
2025-04-17 11:06:53.501 ERROR (MainThread) [supervisor.docker.interface] Can't install ghcr.io/home-assistant/raspberrypi5-64-homeassistant:2025.4.2: 404 Client Error for http+docker://localhost/v1.48/images/ghcr.io/home-assistant/raspberrypi5-64-homeassistant:2025.4.2/json: Not Found ("No such image: ghcr.io/home-assistant/raspberrypi5-64-homeassistant:2025.4.2")
2025-04-17 11:06:53.501 WARNING (MainThread) [supervisor.homeassistant.core] Error on Home Assistant installation. Retrying in 30sec
I think this new update first corrupted the SD card. Then even with a new SD card, the installation gives an error. This latest update seems to be seriously dangerous. I don’t know how to solve this problem.
I used translation because my English is not good, I hope everything was explanatory.
