Harmony Hub question

I have a Harmony Hub script as part of a wake-up Automation. It includes a “ON” and a “OFF” step for a Vizio TV that I have. However the “ON” and “OFF” are the same “Power” step.
It happens that I manually turn the TV off (for whatever reason) but the Automation continues and when it later reaches the OFF step in the Automation, it in fact turns the TV “ON” again, because it is the “Power” and does not know the difference between ON and OFF.
Does anyone have a solution for this ?

Bear in mind the below is from memory since I’m no longer actively using my Harmony:

I’ve used Harmony since the 525 came out around 20 years ago. Even back then, their software allowed to to send discrete power on/off commands even if the original remote didn’t support it (most remotes don’t).

Redo the setup for your TV in the harmony app & tell it that your TV was separate on & off commands. Your remote will show separate commands which you can use in activities & automations.
That way, even if you send the OFF command 10 times, your TV will never turn on.
