Good morning,
A few months ago, Harvest Right freeze dryers were lucky enough to have been given the opportunity to use a wifi dongle,
This may be the opportunity to integrate our Harvest Right freeze dryers into our home assistants. :sweat_smile:

Pulling running data would be really nice. The updates were really nice but the Harvest Right UI really sucks and does not provide good access to the data that now exists. Would be nice to integrate this expensive appliance.

3 Cheers for Harvest Right integration. My wife would overlook WAY more of my faults if I could put the status of her current batch on our dashboards.

I just got a harvest right with the wifi dongle and am also interested in this. It looks like the mobile app is in flutter and is also available on the web at mobile.harvestrightapp.com. I think it should be straightforward to map the web traffic and duplicate it, though that is a far cry from getting it to work without an internet connection.

Hi Drew,

I operate a highly controlled facility with 3 Harvest Right Pharmaceutical Medium freeze dryers.

We are currently looking at Hashy.so for real-time monitoring (temperature, pressure, phase, alerts), but the annual subscription doesn't really fit our operational model. Your Home Assistant integration seems to be the ideal solution.

Before buying a Home Assistant Green ($286 CAD), I have a few critical questions:

1. Multi-unit: Can a single Home Assistant Green monitor 3 Harvest Right freeze dryers simultaneously via MQTT?

  • Polling frequency is confirmed at 15sec?
  • Sensor/connection limits?

2. Production data (Health Canada compliance):

  • Granularity: Temperature, vacuum pressure (mTorr), phase, elapsed time, WiFi signal?
  • Export: Is it possible to log to Google Sheets/CSV for an audit trail?
  • History: Long-term data retention?

3. Critical alerts:

  • Support for real-time email/SMS notifications (batch anomalies)?
  • Apple Watch compatible (for mobile tracking)?

4. Network infrastructure:

  • Is an Ethernet cable sufficient for the Home Assistant Green?
  • I absolutely need the Harvest Right Wi-Fi dongle?

5. Maintenance/Updates:

  • Integration update frequency?
  • Risk of breaking changes with new Harvest Right firmware?

We are serious about deploying this solution and potentially contributing (testing, feedback, etc.).
