Has anyone set up automations based on sleep? (Fitbit tracker)

I’ve set up my Fitbit sensor to be able to track (amongst other things) some sleep-related stats and I’m wondering if any of you are running sleep-based automations and how you’ve implemented them. The sensors are:

sleep/awakeningsCount
sleep/efficiency
sleep/minutesAfterWakeup
sleep/minutesAsleep
sleep/minutesAwake
sleep/minutesToFallAsleep
sleep/startTime
sleep/timeInBed

I imagine the most useful one would be sleep/startTime and I could create automations that compare the current time to my sleep start time, but I’d love to hear your ideas and experiences.

sorry, I can’t resist  automation based on sleep/StartTime , start playing DeathMetal very loud!
Call this automation “torture chamber”

I use a smart switch for my bedside phone charger and read the power output. If it’s night time and it looks like I’ve plugged in my phone, I assume that I’ve gone to bed and trigger night/sleep automations (turn off or dim lamps). Works well so far, just need to get a smart switch for wifeys side of the bed to get it working more accurately.

Haha, not quite what I had in mind!

Ahh, sounds good.

Automation is a lot harder when you’ve got someone else in the house, and I’m trying to figure out how to set mine up so it doesn’t selfishly turn off the lights just because I’ve gone to sleep!

And what if your phone is full charged? Power output will drop to minimum.

My phone is never fully charged when I go to bed, and my HA doesn’t care about power drop, only power increase.
