I wanted a small Windows tray app that could report PC sensors to Home Assistant and show notifications. A clean Windows 11 UI, without another broker to configure. So I made HASS Connect.
Sensors: CPU and memory usage, idle time, uptime, session lock, display state, battery level, last seen, local IP, network adapter and upload/download speed. Everything is off by default, so you choose what gets reported.
It uses Home Assistant’s built-in Mobile App integration. Despite the name, it provides the sensor registration and notification support a desktop app needs. Enter your HA address and an access token, and it creates a device and a notify.mobile_app_... action. No MQTT broker or custom integration required.
Notifications support camera snapshots, buttons that return events to HA, dashboard links, and replacing or clearing alerts by tag.
This is the first release, for Windows 11 x64. This is an early release and hasn’t had much testing beyond my own setup, so please go easy on it! I don’t have much spare time for bug fixes right now, but I’ll do my best. If you run into something, please open an issue with the details.
