Hello everyone I’m having a little difficulty with a home automation project
I have already created a fully functional mini-test facility for which I am already well informed about everything. The problem comes to me on this new project …
I would like to use hassio on raspberry 3 in a facility with a network without internet.
I have a router that I used for home still working. I use it with the factory settings but without connecting it to the internet, I only need to manage the network in DHCP. I connect various devices and configure them and everything is fine.
I take the rasperry I write the img file of Hass.io I connect the device to the home network with ethernet cable that has internet, start it and start the twenty minute procedure. In the end I normally start the all and the only two plugins that I download and I will need mosquitto (with which I pilot the Tasmota firmware) and the one for the configuration. I turn off the attack to the other network without the internet always by cable, even attack a screen estrmo hdmi to read the logs and just turn on the raspberry tells me missing network. You start but also waiting a little I do not appear on the net. I take it reattach to the previous network and reconnect quietly.
Hass.io does not work without internet?
the initial installation of hassio needs the internet, and any add-ons you want to download will require internet, and updates to hassio will require internet…but to RUN hassio, you don’t need internet.
Then I tried again some attempts to install hass.io eventually recognizes the network when I change modem / router now everything works fine. thanks for everything
