Hass.io suffering from amnesia

Hi folks,

I have hassbian running fairly nicely on raspberry pi 3 booting from a USB drive with SSD. Runs fine, but - could be quicker.

Enter the IBM Thinkcentre - a NUC like PC.

I installed hass.io on it some months back and I was pretty impressed with it. The goal was to move over the “good bits” from my original Pi install rather than just copy over the whole config. Hass.io was running fine. Seemed like it was the way I should go in the future. I however needed to redo the man-cave-office, so booted down the HAss.io box. Today I booted it back up. Well…

I can see my samba shares. I can see my ha log file (two lines, no errors). But I have no response from the front end. The is no page being served. Chrome gets a “refused connection”.

I have no SSH installed on the box (the hass.io install page kind of steered you away from doing it).

I figured I could just re-install - but now there is no Hass.io NUC image - so that’s not an option.

Where to from here? Thanks christ this wasn’t running my house.

Thanks for reading folks!

Did the IP address change?

no, it’s the same.

Does a new IP cause issues for hass.io?

Thanks!

Did you somewhere select SSL Access only? If so, try accessing the IP with https:// instead of http://

In case your looking for a way to reinstall it on your “NUC” give me some time. I’m about to write a post about my journey with NUC and Hassio. With install instructions that worked for me.

No SSL as far as I can tell.

5 reinstalls later - this is still happening
