Hassapp: An alternative iOS app to empower your HA

Thanks @richardmayo, I really appreciate those words.

As you might have observed, I wasn’t really active lately, adding just some minor updates to the app. But I still have some plans and ideas for the app, so do not hesitate I’ll be working on it :muscle:t2: (time is limited resource ).

Brilliant UI! Looks really good only downside for me is having to configure the app again to match my Lovelace UI

Great app! Love it! All tho I do miss the input_select and input_boolean entity’s. Are there any plans to add them?

Thank you!

I’m using version 0.99.3 and it’s not showing all my switches. I have two TPlink switches which work fine in HA, are listed in States as switch. but they do not appear in the app :frowning:

Hi I love hassapp
I just tried the Siri shortcuts with iOS 13 and got an error message. It seems Siri cannot start the hassapp app. Is us a known bug?

Regards
Chris

Not sure It’s possible to mirror Lovelace config since it’s available outside HA (AFAIK). But I’ll look into that!

Will look into that

Just tested it and they should be working for you as well. Did you try to re-add the shortcuts?

After having tried the app for a while:

  1. Im impressed with how fast the camera feeds load when accessing the hassio from outside the local network. Kudos for the implementation!
  2. Could have been (more) awesome if I could rename the entities but only inside the app without changing the original names in hassio.
  3. Adjustable width/height for the entities, maybe placing them in a grid instead of a list?
  4. Some bulbs have options for hue/brightness which i couldnt find a way to access them through the app, only toggle the state.
  5. Humm sensors update their state immediately but switches lag when turning them on or off.
  6. A central panel could have been an additional plus to swipping left/right for rooms.
  7. I couldnt make siri turn on or off my switches through shortcuts, siri couldnt see the hassapp.

Great work!!!

Hi yes I traded the shortcuts but still have the issue. I get a spoken error message from Siri in German (the default language on my phone) „Du hast keine passende App. Du musst eine laden.“ which translates to „You do not have a matching app, you need to load one“

Could you try out now? There was an issue with hassapp.com certificates :+1:

Noted down that issue and will try to address it as soon as I can :+1:

Thanks a lot for the feedback @filippos, those are interesting ideas that I can explore in the near future. Also will try to address those issues as soon as possible! :+1:

Fixed! Thanks you!

Hello,
awesome project! I just discovered it and am impressed so far.
I’d like to second that - at least to me and other friends using hass - the light color and temperature setting are the most important and most used features. If we can help please let us know and good work!

Is there any chance you’d allow others to contribute to the code?

Any luck on the TPlink switch issue? Anything you need from me?

Is this project still going?

Hi @thermseekr!

Yes, it is. Sorry for not giving you updates the latest months, it’s been hard to find time to keep developing new features.
I’m currently working on a watchOS companion app that will allow users to control their HA with the watch. But as I said, the pace is slow as it’s not easy to find the time to do so!
