Hassio in docker on Ubuntu hassio tab fails to load

I am running hassio in docker and it’s been running for a few hours, but now the hass.io menu item in the web interface doesn’t load. I get a Unable to load the panel source: /api/hassio/app/entrypoint.js on the webpage and the logs show

Client error on api homeassistant/info request Cannot connect to host 172.30.32.2:80 ssl:None [Connection refused]

Also, when trying to restart hassio from the web interface, the same api issue.

I have rebuilt the containers by removing and re running the script. This solves the issue, but then the hassio panel stops working again.

Anyone else seen this issue?
