HassIO with CoreOS and Docker

I’m trying to install HassIO (not Homeassistant) using the directions found here:

However, CoreOS isn’t allowing me to install the Avahi daemon. I found the following docker hub for avahi: https://hub.docker.com/r/ianblenke/avahi

But I’m pretty new to the whole docker orchestration. What’s the best say to set these up in order to have them working together?

I don’t think this is going to work. CoreOS isn’t a general distro
