HassOs to Dialout user group HELP!

I’m struggling to get the Numato integration to work under HassOS on Raspberry Pi.

The problem seems to be that I need to add the default HassOS user to the dialout usergroup.

1st What is the default HassOS user name?
2nd How I add them to the dialout user group so the Home Assistant Numato Integration can see the USB Numato board connected to the RPi?

I can use SSH to access root on the RPi but I’m confused by the HassOS commands instead of the classic linux sudo commands.

Thanks for your help

Hi Hugo,
did you manage to have the numato device working in your system? I have both an I/O expander and relays board, but the numato integration fails to start.
Best regards.

Hi Adelmo,

Sadly not I have a relatively expensive Numato board still connected to My RPi4 and the integration always fails to start.

I think I might chuck it on eBay to be honest…

Hugo

I should really stick it on eBay…

Hi Hugo,
I’m sad to read that the problem is still there. I’ll try a workaround using python to control switchboard and GPIO board via mqtt. I’m even unable to understand where the integration fails.

Best regards.
