Have you verified the OTP code in Amazon 2SV?

Alexa Media Player (AMP) was working for years. I was required to update AMP and now this question has come up when I try to configure AMP.

I have created the annoying 2SV stuff, so now I get it popping up all the time when I am going to the site in my browser, which is needed just so this works with HA.

However, it is still not working in HA. So where am I supposed to verify the HA OTP code in Amazon? “Have you verified the OTP code in Amazon 2SV?” this implies that I need to put it into Amazon but no idea where.

Alexa Media Player Version 5.7.10
HA Core = 2025.10.4
Home Assistant OS 16.3
supervisor-2025.11.1

Thanks

I might have figured out where to put the OTP info. After signing into the Amazon login from the integration there is a OTP screen. I tried putting in the authenticator OTP as it requested [no go] and then I realized it probably wanted to use the OTP from the integration. This was accepted so it looks like this is the way.

It is showing as connected but the devices are not available so it is still not working

Today, it also stopped working for me.
I tried to reconfigure it, and although the process seems to complete successfully, when I’m redirected back to HA, I get the message:
‘Alexa Media Player failed to login.’
Something appears to be broken.

Following, same happened to me yesterday

Have you verified the OTP code in Amazon 2SV?
I have NO IDEA where it is sending this OTP Code or where I am supposed to verify it, I’ve logged into my Amazon iPhone App, iPhone ALexa App and PC web browser. I can’t find anywhere to verify the code

Same here, folliwng

We should have a solution soon.

No need to wait. From that thread …

“Go to HACS. Select Alexa media player. In UP right corner, select REDONWLOAD. Select the version 5.7.11. Reboot HA and enjoy”
