I have a Vera Lite controller with Secure Thermostat. I would like to have some mechanism whereby I could “boost” the heat by a couple of degrees, for say an hour.
Is this possible - and if so, where do I start? I’ve tried under the dev services tab to add 2 degrees or subtract 2 degrees - but this doesn’t appear to be supported. I can set a temperature, but presumably if I want to increase it by 2 degrees, then I have to know the starting point, calculate x+2, change the temp, start a timer, and then reverse the change when the timer has expired.
I’m trying to do this, to avoid having different set-point switches/buttons/scenes - in order that the better half can easily push a button when she’s too cold (or too hot).
In general, the heating works well, I have 4 different setpoints throughout the day, working fine for several years - but My Good Lady has to go and manually change the thermostat if she’s cold…
