for me a remote mute would be awesome. if the impact on battery life is not very major, I am ok. also, a grouping would be nice if for example we have more than one detector, make them all or some sound the alarm if one detects the smoke, i have a detached workshop that is on the same zigbee network but i doubt i would hear a siren from that space in my house.can we test the firmware somehow?

Hi. I bought an HS1SA-EF, but there are no updates available and the siren doesn’t work. How do I update it using ZHA? Is there a custom file?

The datecode for me, using ZHA is 20251023. I thought this product was plug n play but it’s not

Why did you recommend buying the HS1SA-Z? I thought the HS1SA-EF was the superior model because of its siren control.

it was not updated with english language for FR and DE region, it should be HS1SA-E instead of HS1SA-Z. but the link is correct link.

it may take a while to get updated.

I’m not getting a clear picture on the FW upgrades and what it brings.

I have both a SmokeSensor in HS1SA-E-PLUS version as well as EF-3.0 (i.e. not a PLUS).

The PLUS has the ability to use HA for setting off the siren (enabling HA assisted network of smokesensors), remote testing it and remote muting it.

Is it now possible to FW upgrade the EF-3.0 to have (some or all of) these same functionalities as the PLUS has?
If the answer in “No”: clear.
If the answer is “Yes”:

  1. where can I get this FW?
  2. which of the PLUS functionalities would be available on the EF-3.0 after FW upgrade?
  3. and I guess, how do I do the FW upgrade?

Does anybody have clear answers to my questions? Much appreciated.
