HELP! 2 same Xiaomi SP-EUC01 connectors, 2 different State's!

Hi,

I have bought a week ago two Xiaomi SP-EUC01 type switches from a same batch, serial numbers:

  • 370000437243
  • 370000436938

both manufactered in 2021.11.

SP-EUC01

You might expect they behave both the same but they don’t. One is exposed as a router and one is not. This might be because of Zigbee2Mqtt, but then I wonder if it is fixable somehow by telling the non-router switch that he has a personality-glitch.

one state is:

{
    "device_temperature": 15,
    "energy": 5.65,
    "linkquality": 72,
    "power": 0,
    "power_outage_memory": true,
    "state": "OFF",
    "update": {
        "state": "idle"
    },
    "update_available": null
}

and the other state is:

{
    "consumer_connected": true,
    "consumption": 4.88,
    "current": 0,
    "device_temperature": 16,
    "energy": 4.88,
    "illuminance": 0,
    "illuminance_lux": 0,
    "linkquality": 156,
    "power": 0,
    "power_outage_count": 3,
    "state": "OFF",
    "temperature": 16,
    "update": {
        "state": "idle"
    },
    "voltage": 262
}

… much longer and more informative.

My networkmap tells me this:

Where blue means: Router. And green means: End Device.

As the distances of the devices are pretty broad, I would like to see both my switches behave like routers for a better network-coverage.

Can anyone help me out fixing this or should I reclaim at my Xiaomi Reseller that one is broken?

Is this blog dead? Or has nobody a clue what I’m talking about?

I have three of those and they are working as routers from day one. I will try to delete one that is acting as end device and try to pair it again. Pair it close to your coordinator just to be safe.

Yeah. Might as well try that. I am on location this evening. I’ll you know if it helped.
