Help! accidentally deleted a device from ESPHome builder

Hello, through complete stupidity, I have just accidentally deleted a device from the ESPHome builder page.

Now, I thought that’s not too bad, I’ll just restore from last night’s backup. So I did a restore of the ESPHome Builder add-on. However, the missing device has no re-appeared.

I’m not sure whether it’s just that the restore is still running, or whether I need to restart something or whether I’m doing something wrong.

It certainly seemed to be restoring something as the page reformatted itself a few times. The missing device remains missing, though.

Please can someone advise where I’m going wrong?

I think it is included in the HA backup

Look in:

config/esphome/archive

If it is there just move it to:

config/esphome/

Thank you. I’m actually running an HA restore, so hopefully that will also recover it. If not, I’ll check as you’ve suggested.

Arrggh! Now I’ve lost the whole ESPHome builder page and Studio Code Server is showing no files.

I’m now completely stuck. HA seems to be running in that I can see entities etc, but ESP is now completely gone and studio code server seems to be saying that the configig folder is empty

Phew! I’ve run another restore and it seems to be mostly there - just needs some tidying, I think. I’m not sure why it didn’t work the first time, but at least it seems to have worked overall.

Oh! and the missing device is indeed back!
