Help all my Xaiomi LYWSD03MMC no longer working

After I think an update several weeks ago I just noticed that all my Xaiomi LYWSD03MMC are no longer available.
I went to devices and found the ble_monitor . But now says it can’t run now with an error message. I poked around in it but now the app itself is missing and I can’t reinstall it. If anyone can help me I’d be most grateful. I’m not very savvy in changing the config files but I think the problem is there?

I’m going to guess the error message said it was due to solar flares and you should cover everything with tin-foil.

That was a joke.

Tell us what the error message is (exactly, word for word) or we are only guessing.

Thank you.

Correction…
The Passive BLE Monitor app went missing missing along with all the Xaiomi temperature devices. But if I try to reinstall it ths is what I get.

(And also before the app went missing all the Xaiomi devices had errors on them.)

Error
Config flow could not be loaded: {“message”:“Invalid handler specified”}

I’ve read that this was a common problem after updates ?
But the editing of the config files is over my skill set.

I just realized that the problem is actually the Passive BLE Monitor app.
It says could not load.
And all my 6 ATC flashed Xaiomi LYWSD03MMC devices are not valid.

I did notice hundreds of pages on what seems to be going on. But all to complicated for this 74 yr old. LoL

If you need any logs or other information please tell me where to get it . Thanks very much.

This is the error I see if I click on the entity …

"A4C138340E09
ble humidity A4C138340E09

This entity is no longer being provided by the ble_monitor integration. If the entity is no longer in use, delete it in settings."

Try this: [Bug]: Installation fails with "config flow" error · Issue #895 · custom-components/ble_monitor · GitHub

Thanks but That’s not any help it’s like a hundreds pages of discussions on multiple topics none seem related to how to fix the Passive BLE Monitor app.

Perhaps someone else can help me?

I linked you to an exact post with some options to try:

Try to remove and reinstall it, restart HA and hit F5 a couple of times

Wasn’t there mention of these devices in a recent breaking changes section of a software update release notice? You know - the ones you ready very closely before hitting the update button.

Well thanks IOT7712 for your insults. Sigh…

I’ve been using Home Assistant for many years now basically from it’s very beginning, I was a former user of HomeSeer and before that X-10.
I likely have 40ea IOT devices in this home.
And I’ve always appreciated the users on this forum that have gladly helped me when I had issues installing a new device or had a problem in my configuration code that needed some changes of which I am worthless at. I’m pretty savvy in electronics and computer system as I used to be a network administrator.
But I retired 10 yrs ago and I’m now 74 and while I can handle hardware issues but at this age my abilities and focus are slowing down and I’m struggling addressing something as complicated as what has recently happened on my HA Sever.
It’s not that I’m lazy or stupid but I’ve spent many hours to no resolution on this and your right I should have read the fine print that the latest Home Assistant update would ruin my life. And now I’m at wits end :weary:

All I need help with seems simple but not for me. And I have faith there’s someone here that will know exactly how fix this.:blush:

  1. How do I Get my Xaiomi LYWSD03MMC devices that I flashed years ago with ATC working again.
  2. And yes after the upgrade they stopped working. My bad for not reading the fine print. And the update corrupted the config files.
  3. Now my Passive BLE Monitor integration doesn’t work.
  4. I’ve tried everything including trying to uninstall it. Won’t allow that and gives error of something in the config files.
  5. I asked AI for help and it gave very complex ways to bypass it and reinstalling HACS which didn’t work.
  6. I could go on and on here but I’m at a complete standstill and totally frustrated.
  7. I’m at a point that I considered reinstalling HA from scratch but that would be an impossibly daunting task.

So in conclusion here I simply need help to.

  1. Fix the bPassive BLE Monitor integration and reinstall it. But it requires knowledge of removing the errors in the configuration files. And says requires using ssh? Or changing other setting that allows me to even get at those files. Way over my skill set.
  2. I’m willing to use the new Bluetooth integration which would likely fix my program but I have tried but it won’t install as it says only errors in the config files.

I know this is a long rant but I’m in a mood… I definitely could use some help.
