Help for Newbie, trying to install eWelink_HA_Addon

I’m very new to Home Assistant world, this is probably very obvious to the group but I just dont see it and would be very grateful some pointers.
I’ve installed HA on a RPi5 stand alone and can successfully access from my PC using homeassistant.local:8123. I am trying to start my journey by looking at some of the devices I have currently controlled by eWelink and I understand that I need the eWeLink HA add on to interface to them. I have found some instructions via google that lead me through the process but have only got as far as creating the L-L Access Token. The next step requires me to go to the Add-on Store but I just can not see any mention of this on the HA screens, also mentions of “click Supervisor” in the sidebar but again I can see no mention, I am obviously missing something. Help please and thanks in anticipation.

Hi Mike, welcome to the forum!

It’s not clear to me what you are after but it seems that you haven’t switched your profile to advanced mode.
Go to it in the side bar (lower button/circle with your initial) and activate ‘Advanced mode’.

Thanks Nick.
I have already turned Advanced Mode ON.
My problem is that instructions that I read say “Go to Add-on store” but the trouble is I can not find a button or option that says “Add-on Store” for instance if I go to settings there is a long list of options that include things like “Apps” and “About” but not “Add-in store”!
The “About” for my installation says "Installation method Home Assistant OS Core 2026.4.3 Supervisor 2026.04.0 Operating System 17.2 Frontend 20260325.7 " There was a Core update this morning that I have just run and is reflected in the “About”.

Doubtless it is me being a bit dim here but I just can not see how I am meant to go forward.
thanks for help Mike

Owkay, it seems the eWeLink info is outdated.
Recently (end of 2025), in HA the add-on section/menu has been renamed to Apps.

Did you already find this: eWeLink connect to Home Assistant - eWeLink

Thanks for your pointers Nick, I am on the road now more or less or at least significantly further. I followed the link that you kindly provided but noticed an update note saying they have now got a new repository site, so I have added the new site repository and that has revealed a tile for linking ewelink to HA. I have clicked the tile which then goes on to reveal a number of tabs over top and a start in the bottom right corner. I am deliberately not doing anything with the “start” yet as I understand there is a need to do something with the LLaccess token first. Clicking the configuration tab, it shows a path line containing “/Sonoff-Smart-Home-Addon” which can be overwritten and then another box with a dropdown that reveals lines for server, user and password. Is the intention that I overwrite the path line with my LL access token name “eWelink_HA_AddOn” if not how else do I involve the LL access name? Do I need to prefix it with a “/” ? Is the intention that “server” in my case is “http://homeassistant.local:8123” ? I presume that user and password are those that I have used on the ewelink app.
Once again appreciate your assistance Mike

Mike, I can’t help you any further since I don’t use this integration.
You have to try yourself, search for more info or wait till someone steps in who can help.
In general you could try anyway and worst case you start over.
If you are in doubt, make sure you have a backup of HA so you can revert to that.
