I stumbled upon local tuya control and it got me interested in trying to automate these RGBCW can lights. However, I have no idea what chip to use or what flash would be compatible to help cut the cloud to give me control over brightness, rgb, and white color control.
Firmware version shows 0.0.22 for both mcu and main module.
MAC address shows tuya (which I believe can be beken or Realtek)
The model is EPDL.12X.ETL.RGBCW on the back of the unit, but I don’t think that gives me any indicator of what it actually is. It will join my wifi network as wlan0 as the host name.
For those who have flashed, do the firmware files only apply per chipset? How does it know it’s a light vs an outlet? How do those features get exposed as entities in HA?
