Hi everyone,
I’m trying to repurpose an older PC to run Home Assistant OS permanently from its internal hard drive, but I’m stuck.
Specs:
- Former Windows 7 machine
- Intel i5 processor
- 32GB RAM
- 1TB internal HDD
I flashed the HA OS image to a USB stick and booted from it. Home Assistant runs fine, but it seems to be running live from the USB — not installed to the hard drive. I want to move the installation to the internal HDD and stop using the thumb drive altogether.
This PC is no longer needed for anything else, so I’m fine with wiping the drive. I just need help figuring out how to trigger the actual install to the hard drive. Any guidance or steps would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
