Hi everyone,
I am in the midst of renovating my home, and my wife and I just realized our Guardian home security contract is up in a few months. We are now considering expanding the scope of our current renovation project. I’m posting because we really need to make decisions NOW to fit this into the current project, but I think I’m in a bit over my head.
Right now the Guardian app is how we control our HVAC, garage doors, home security system, and front door lock. I’d like to set up my own system, and here’s what I’ve already decided on:
-I’d like to use Reolink wired cameras and wired video doorbell and integrate them into Home Assistant/Alarmo
-I want to use wired security sensors for windows, doors, motion, glass breaking, but I haven’t decided which brand of these I should buy
-I want to use a Konnection.IO panel to tie these wired sensors into Alarmo/Home Assistant
-I want to buy some SmartWings wired motorized window shades and integrate them into Home Assistant
-I want to buy a couple Amazon Fire Tablets to make my own homemade control panels
-I don’t feel the need for any monitoring service, would just want to set it up to alert me
Okay, so here are my questions:
To integrate alarmo/konnection/reolink, and the security sensors, do I just need to buy:
-reolink cameras & wired sensors as needed
-Amazon fire tablet for control panel
-Konnection.io Alarm Panel pro 12-zone conversion kit
Or am I missing anything to tie all of these together?
What brand of wired sensors should I buy?
What do I need to do to tie in my HVAC, garage door control?
Is there a best front door lock to integrate into the above systems?
Thank you very much for any advice and suggestions any of you can share!
