I have an intercom. And I would connect it to esphome to open the door from the phone. I know that all intercoms are similar regardless of brand. I also read that I need to connect a relay to the intercom, but I don’t know where. Could you give me more detailed instructions?
As far as I can see here, I would try to bypass the switch for door-opening.
I can not see the backside of the PCB so I can not say where you could connect a cable - maybe you can solder a wire to two points on the PCB on the back or on the front at some of the resistors e.g.
Since it’s not a bus device, it has separate wires for door opening. It’s enough to verify which ones and connect there without any soldering on PCB.
Poking around with a multimeter would assist.
Tell me what I can measure besides the input voltage? Maybe button contacts?
The last pic is different circuit
Yours is actually powering the door lock, so the best way is to solder wires to the switch like FlyingEagle proposed.
Then use Esp and relay module or Shelly Plus1.
Hi, I’m joining with a request. We have a new doorbell system and I would need to engage the lock via the relay. The problem is that the phone is only active when the handset is off-hook.
Then you have to interact the hook-switch as well.
But it all depends on the circuit, there might be easier way as well.
And some of them don’t work if there is not a call from door bell…
If I pick up the handset, I can start the doorman with a button, another thing is that we have two entrances and the doorbell recognizes where the bell is ringing from and closes the front or back door accordingly. Do you think this is even solvable with ESP?
If it’s not a BUS device, it’s doable.
How, it depends if lock is powered from handset or not…
this is another schematic, is there anything more obvious? E.g. can I please somehow simulate a DIP switch using ESP?
In every phone, the address of the is set using DIP, and the idea is to somehow “bypass” the doorbell and simulate switching door on the intercom using ESP.
Not really, the whole circuit and some datasheet is needed in your case and the language is not helping here at all…
