Help me pick a vacuum (Tapo RV20/RV30 Max Plus vs Roborock Q7 M5+ vs ? )

Hey guys. I’m looking to replace my aging Wyze vacuum. Things I like about the current vacuum that I would like in a new one is the ability to send it to specific rooms using HA and that it has lidar. Things I don’t like about it is that I spend a fair amount of time each week pulling my wife and daughters long hair out of the rollers.

I’m looking to spend no more than $250 and would like the ability to ‘mop’ as well. I see two candidates but am open to others:

  • Tapo RV30 Max Plus or Tapo RV20 Max Plus - I think these are Matter only and don’t work with the TPLink integration? Does Matter control allow for sending to specific rooms through HA?
  • Roborock Q7 M5+ - Seems the Qseries is not supported by Roborock integration but can use Matter? Same question about specific room control.

Additionally, can anyone speak to the need for maintenance due to hair wrapping in the rollers?

I am open to any and all options at or below the $250 price point. Thanks!

Thank you. Unfortunately that method only shows me three hits. One is this post, the other is a related Roborock and the last has nothing to do with this.

I was hoping to find owners that could give feedback on these two models or anything else around my price point.
