The internal eMMC (/dev/mmcblk0 ) does not appear in ha hardware info or Move data disk .
The system only shows /dev/mmcblk1 (the SD card).”

Installation method Home Assistant OS * Installation methodHome Assistant OS

  • Core2025.11.1
  • Supervisor2025.11.1
  • Operating System16.3
  • Frontend20251105.0
Here’s what I have tried multiple times:
  • Flashed a verified HAOS Green 16.3 image to a micro-SD card using Balena Etcher.
  • Booted successfully and reached the Home Assistant CLI and web UI.
  • Ran ha os install /dev/mmcblk0 several times — it completed without error, but the device still won’t boot without the SD card.
  • Checked in both the HA CLI and web UI (“Settings → System → Storage”) — the only visible disk is /dev/mmcblk1 (the 32 GB SD card).
  • The internal eMMC (/dev/mmcblk0) never appears in ha hardware info or “Move Data Disk.”
  • Repeated installs with different SD cards and cables — same result.
  • The Green works perfectly from SD, but once the SD is removed, it only shows a solid white LED and never boots.

Screenshots attached show ha hardware info output — only /dev/mmcblk1 (SH32G) is present.

Based on this, it appears that the internal eMMC module has failed or become disconnected.
Please advise on repair or replacement options.
