I’m a user with a total of 2 days of HA/hassio experience but sitting on top of ~20 years of unix cli… which probably is the reason I’m so lost, but anyway, please HELP
Trying to setup https for LAN access to hassio/Rpi3 (supervisor 142, HassOS 1.13) according to the instructions at https://www.home-assistant.io/docs/ecosystem/certificates/tls_self_signed_certificate/
To do so I installed the SSHd add-on and managed to log into the hassio container, however when I try to generate keys I get an error saying openssl is not there.
Should I try to build it from source?
You don’t have to do that on the hassio machine. OpenSSL probably isn’t even included in the SSH addon. Just use any regular Linux machine and create the certificate there.
