Help required! ESP32-C6 with LD2410C 24GHz Human Presence Sensor

Hi I am trying to build a presence sensor using an Apollo Automation ESP32-C6 DEV-2 and a LD2410C, I am struggling to get the sensor to work as the Apollo board says the UART is pins 30 and 31. When I use these pins in the YAML code it says these pins can’t be used and will not install the code onto the board. I have tried other pin numbers but with no success so far. I can get things to work on the ESP32 like turn the on board LED on see the temperature and I have got it to work over thread instead of WIFI. I have added links to the devices below and I can add the code I am using if that helps?

Apollo ESP32-C6

LD2410C

30/31 are not valid pins for esp32-c6. However, you can configure some other pins for uart. If that doesn’t work, you have something else wrong with your setup.

Based on the chip module ID shown in the pics on Apollo’s site:

… and Espressif’s docs for that module:

The pins should be:

TX: GPIO16

RX: GPIO17

It looks like they used the module pin/pad numbers 30/31 instead of the GPIO numbers in their docs, and just printed TX/RX on the dev board. I don’t have one of these to do a direct test, so I’ve opened an issue on Apollo’s docs so they can update the pinout graphic and text with the correct values.

Hi thanks for the help, I have got the sensor to work using those pin numbers. I had also got the wires the wrong way round! So Tx on the ESP32 to Rx on the sensor.
