My Homeassistant green was working perfectly, but was running a little low on disk space, so I had the bright idea to move the data onto a spare USB ssd drive I had lying about.
This seemed to have failed and after a few hours I reset the restarted the system, to be greeted by a bunch of I/O errors on /dev/sda1.
So I decided to restore the system, after unplugging the ssd, using the Resetting the device – Home Assistant Green I’m not sure if it did anything, but when it restarts it sits on the “Waiting for ha cli to start” message. When I go into the terminal via f2 and execute any ha command, even ‘ha help’ it hangs. I can ping the machine and see the prompt on an attached monitor, but can’t access home assistant.local.
Anybody got an idea how to bring it back to live? I’ve got.a recent backup, so resetting the system will do. Thanks!
You can use an SD card
Thanks, I gave in and bought one, all good once I found the backup encryption key…
