Yesterday, I discovered that a kitchen island light dimmer (Zooz Zen77) seems to have failed or otherwise just stopped communicating with my HA hub. Here are a couple of screenshots to show you what I am seeing. The switch does work manually to turn the light on/off.
Is there a way to fix this or do I need to replace the switch.?
That’s the bottom. Here’s a screenshot showing what’s under Configuration when I open it.
NOTE: As I was taking this screenshot, I decided to open Advanced. I re-interviewed the Node. No help. Then I tried Refresh Values and Update Topics. One of those last two seems to have done the trick - at least for now.
Looks like something happened to your cache file, and all data was lost for the node. You can see the product id/type/name are missing as well. How are you running Z-Wave JS UI?
“Refresh Values” only works for the Command Classes that are known. “Update Topics” is for MQTT and has nothing to do with functionality for HA. Perhaps you didn’t wait long enough for the re-interview to finish, as that’s what should have been needed.
Sorry, but not sure what you mean with “How are you running Z-Wave JS UI?” I am running HA on a Home Assistant Blue (4 years old). I’m not that proficient. I usually get things working and then get rusty as I wait for something not to work, at which time I either figure it out or come here for help.
I have tried several Reinterview Node commands with nothing helping. It did seem to “complete” interview rather quickly. Not sure what changed this time, but here’s what I have now:
