Help with configuring an alarm using DS18B20 sensors

I’m monitoring a cleaning system that exceeds 120F every 8 hours. My hope is to have Pushbullet notify me if it fails. I’ve been successful setting up the DS18B20:

sensor:

  • platform: onewire
    names:
    28-0416526f53ff: “Temp1”
    devices:
    28-0416526f53ff:

I’m having trouble configuring the Statistics Sensor to read the output. The following doesn’t work, also I get the same result using Temp1 instead of 28-0416526f53ff

sensor:

  • platform: onewire
    names:
    28-0416526f53ff: “Temp1”
    devices:
    28-0416526f53ff:
  • platform: statistics
    entity_id: sensor.onewire.28-0416526f53ff

My log file reads:

17-02-23 15:13:40 ERROR (MainThread) [homeassistant.bootstrap] Invalid config for [sensor.statistics]: Entity ID sensor.onewire.28-0416526f53ff is an invalid entity id for dictionary value @ data[‘entity_id’]. Got ‘sensor.onewire.28-0416526f53ff’. (See ?, line ?). Please check the docs at Statistics - Home Assistant

Hi sbharnish,
I hope this could helps:

  • platform: onewire
    names:
    28-000001fac7ab: “Termometro vicino Raspberry”

  • platform: statistics
    name: statistiche_termometro_vicino_raspberry
    entity_id: sensor.28000001fac7ab_temperature

You have to find the right name sensor in the /dev-state section.
Fabio
