Hi all, I have noticed a constant error mentioned in the HA console - does anyone know what this actually is? I know it refers to a virtual network adaptor but what is it complaining about…
BUMP…is this something I need to worry about or attend to in some way.
Can’t answer the question: but it’d help if you told us what hardware you’re running on.
It’d also help if you changed the title to something like “Help with ‘enp0s3: Reset adapter’ message please”. With a vague, clickbaity title you’re likely to be skipped over.
I note that the gaps between the resets are within a few minutes of an integer number of hours. Might be coincidental, or might point to a rise in load aligned to a scheduled job?
Ok, done. Thanks for the reply.
Hardware is a Gigabyte BRiX Mini-PC (NUC) i5-5200 with 16GB Ram, 1TB SSD internal storage & an 8TB WD-Black D10 external (USB 3.1) HDD, 1Gbps Ethernet link to broadband hub, running HAOS as a VM in VirtualBox. Host OS is Win10 latest build. No other apps running.
The enp0s3 seems to be a VirtualBox network card error message but nothing related shows in the VBox logs, nor is there any issue when connecting to the instance using a browser on the local network. VM networking was set as Bridged but have now changed it to NAT, though I expect this will not alter anything significant.
The VM has 2GB RAM allocated, 32GB storage allocated, 9.68GB used. 16Mb video RAM allocated.
The HAOS instance is basically only reading a Hive sensor and some Philips HUE lighting control at the moment, not sure what it would be doing at that timing interval, it’s a pretty basic setup with little to no automations running other than the ones it came with OOTB. It does have the SpeedTest add-on running hourly, that’s about it at the moment.
If it’s not causing any visible issues, I wouldn’t worry about it.
