Help with the best way to monitor my electric

Hi, i just changed my UK electric supplyer to Good Energy, “Misstake” i have three in house displays so myself & lodgers can see what we are consuming. Now when i changed to so called Good Energy i went on there EV off peak tariff. For the last few weeks the displays are still showing my old Eon tariff. I then found out that somthing need to tell the meter about the change & i got in touch with Good Energy & they told me they cant change it. “Personaly think i am getting fobbed off”.
So i am looking for an alternitive to monitor my 2 tariff electric. 5am to midnight on one rate & midnight to 5am on another very cheap rate. HELP with some alternitives.

Yes, HomeAssistant can be used to do this, however, before you take the plunge, let’s get some more information:

Are the in-house displays smart enough to cope with multiple timed tarrifs? This may be a design limitation of the displays, especially if they are old. What model are they and how do they monitor consumption? Do they talk direct to the meter giving instantaneous updates, or access the utility company billing system over the internet, with the associated delays? When you used to put the kettle on - did the display figures jump up straight away, or after a little while?

Has the meter been replaced as part of moving to timed tariffs? Maybe the displays just need to be paired to the new meter codes, and that is all?

What make and model is your current meter? A clear photo of the front would be nice, as it also often shows what options are fitted.

Are your lodgers on their own metering, or do you still want to just monitor the whole house?

Does your new utility offer an app that replaces the functionality of the in-house displays on your phone?
