Help with weird power problem

Hi, I’m after some help regarding something related to power.

I am somehow measuring around 100 - 150VAC across my AC phase and DC negative. I have checked to see if I have accidentally linked my Negative with my Neutral, but I have no continuity between them.

If I measure AC across the AC phase, and DC negative, I am getting like around 100 + VAC.

Having said that, everything on the 12VDC power supply works as expected, the only way I noticed this was getting a slight tickle on the DC negative.

I have a few of these cabinets around the place and this is the only one with this issue.

I have eliminated any possibility of a faulty power supply, and even with all the negatives disconnected, I am still getting AC on my negative, I cannot work out how this is happening. The only thing I can think of is a bad earth on the AC side. I have literally disconnected everything on the DC side by splitting ALL neutrals and still, I get AC across my Negative.

Any ideas or tips would be great.

Try save me the whole “you’re not a sparky spiel”

Thanks

I think a circuit diagram helps more than a picture.

You are probably getting a voltage due to coupling from adjacent wiring. Voltage measurements at no load condition with DMM can be tricky. You can measure voltage even on disconnected wire if it’s travelling parallel to hot wires.
