Is there a way in which I can add security after the device is already added?
Hello Paddy, we need more information, you didn’t mention the device, nor the protocol and I can’t filter it since there are no tags or categories assigned.
As a rule of thumb: probably not, remove the device and re-pair it.
Your question is very basic and we cannot guess what you want to do…
What kind of security are you talking about and/or what do want to achieve?

Basically as SG, and Afsy above says, "fully exclude it, and re-include it , if still NONE , repeat, and try to force it to Highest Security, if still NONE, try again
Read Your Integration/Device Instructions.
Worst case scenario , Your device Sucks, or is to far/have bad connection to its Controller, so You shouldn’t even Add/Use it, bc then it will most likely keep Controlling You, rather than You are controlling the Device
