I was updated my outdoor station, will check call state after work.

I disabled Call State polling and can still see new states in Call State. There is no “Ring” state, but there is a “Ringing” state.

Hi community, thank you very much for this integration.
I have a DS-KV6113-WPE1(C), Firmware V2.2.65 build 231213, no interior panel.
Problem: It does not ring… I press the button and it gives 3 “occupied” signals
I can see the entity over home assistant and even unlock the gate.

I’ve been searching on these threads and testing things for hours, but nothing seems to get it to work.

If you hear busy sounds, that’s not related to this addon… That means you are not calling a device, like an indoor or hikconnect… A device must ring in order to receive the event

I don’t want or need an interior unit. has anyone made it work standalone, aka without sip?

But you need to ring something… How would you know that someone is at your door if no app/device/… Is ringng

Sorry if it’s a silly question, I have the DS-KD7003 which only has its hotspot, but is otherwise not part of my WLAN. How am I supposed to connect to it with this integration? Or should I be connecting to my indoor station instead?

yes, you can connect to your indoor, but its limited, there are no events, but there is a polling option

Thanks, that’s really helpful! Two follow-ups: (1) Do you see any event in HA when a card is presented to the reader? (2) Would the ring detection also work standalone, without any indoor station on the network?

Hi everyone,

the new Hikvision DS-KD8005 appears to be the successor to the DS-KD8003.

Does anyone know if the KD8005 is already compatible with this Home Assistant integration, or has anyone tested it yet?

I am a beginner and I am setting up an external unit (Hikvision DS-KV6113-WPE1) - officially purchased as (POLICEtech VDO2001-WPE -h-line) with home assistant and hikvision doorbell integration - everything works fine, but the external unit does not play the ringtone when calling the home assistant internal unit, which is on a tablet with the free kiosk browser installed. I installed the sound file on the official website of the intercom, tried with automations, with shell commands, but all without success. I did not install a sip central, because I would like to enable it at the hikvision doorbell integration level. Is there any solution that would do this successfully. Thanks for any ideas and referrals that would help me.
