Hikvision DS-KD8003 & Blue Iris: stream updates stop if open 24/7

From my perspective - this seems to be an issue with HA’s Blue Iris integration, specific for this door camera model.

I have been using the Blue Iris integration and have successfully build dashboards (using the picture-entity card) to view several Hikvision camera models (bullets, domes and even the DS-KD8003 door cam)

I was able to reliably view the camera streams anytime, multiple times, from iOS companion apps and browsers.

The problem started when I started using an older iPad as a screen to monitor the cameras 24/7. The iPad runs the HA companion app 24/7, showing a dashboard with 6 cameras in separate picture-entity cards.

ONLY the door cam stream stops updating randomly (anywhere from 6 hours to several days). All of the other streams remain current and continue updating. Opening the same dashboard on another device or browser shows the same.

BUT the camera is still connected to Blue Iris.
The camera is still working.
Blue Iris continues to view the live view, trigger recordings and motion alerts.

Only HA is not getting the updates. And only for that Hikvision model.

The camera entity attribute show hundreds of “No Signal” events, but only for the door camera.

Sometimes restarting HA server will restart the stream.
Most of the time, the camera must be restarted.

I’ve set up BI to send RTSP keep-alives.
I’ve not yet enabled BI Watchdog to reboot the camera based on time outs, or to reboot every 24 hours - these are a last resort since BI and the camera work fine together.
