History date range - can no longer span months?

I struggled with this some time ago and people gave guidance that seemed to work, but no longer does. I think something changed.

It is November 2nd, and I want to select from Oct 30 to Nov 1st, and I just cannot make it happen.

Aside: Why in the world not allow you to TYPE in the date range?! but…

I hit Show more and it shows Nov 1-2. Click the date range and I’m on November. Click the left < symbol and I’m in October. Click 30.

Now what?

If I move the mouse (not click-drag, just move it) then it highlights a range, so if I move off toward the top to get back to the > symbol to select November it highlights up to Oct 2.

Click > (November) and then click on 2. It has lost the October selection and I’m back at Nov 1-2.

I’ve tried reversing it and clocking Nov 1 first, then < for October, but even though October is shown you can’t select anything (note before someone says you can’t select backwards within a month it works just fine).

I’ve been clicking for 30 minutes and maybe I’m just dense, but I literally cannot find a combination to go from Oct 30 to Nov 1.

Can someone help?

PS. Am on 2025.10.4 which is current as of this moment for me.

It’s just a visual quirk (probably a FrontEnd issue), but it still works.

Only additional thing you need to do is to click Select after choosing your start & end dates, even though they might not appear to be highlighted in the picker:

Yes it highlights it but it does not select it until you click where you want the end date.

So you have to hit select twice? Not once the range is in place, but for start (select) then end (select)? That does seem to work.

Gosh I miss just text input fields… does that mean I’m old?

Correct.
