I am in the process of moving my configuration from the configuration.yaml file and into the database by creating helpers.
I’m hitting a problem with history stats. Once the source entity and state are put in, they can’t be seen or changed. Not even in the developer section.
The history stats just weren’t picking up and it has been a hell of a job to try and troubleshoot when I can’t see what I’ve set.
As it happened I made a load of sensors with “on” instead of “true” and it looks like I’m going to have to toast the lot of them and start again… but is there a way to at least see what has been put in there… or at least to change the state … without having to destroy the sensor and recreate it? I mean… the past history stays there anyway and as long as the measurement hasn’t changed, the stats warnings don’t even bat an eyelid.
Grateful for advice because this is head bashing territory and I don’t have much forehead left
