Hive integration into HA and keep using Hive app

Hi

I’m thinking of pairing my hive smart bulbs and hive heating to home assistant to see what functionality is like but I was wondering will this mean I lose connection via the hive hub & app. From what I can gather to keep functionality in HA & the hive app this would mean two zigbee connections which isn’t possible, is that right?

If you use the Hive integration, the Hive app still works.
If you are looking to add the Hive devices to your own zigbee network, then the Hive app won’t work.

Personally, I just have my heating on in the Hive app, I moved the bulbs to my zigbe networks

Thanks Brewston. Just installed the Hive integration and looks good. What is technically happening here, is HA talking to the Hive Hub and then using the Hive cloud?

No, AFAIK the integration just emulates the app (ie uses the same API endpoints that the app uses)
