I am new to Home Matic. I installed RaspberryMatic and taught-in 2 thermostats. I see them in the dashboard and also in Settings > Devices and Services > RaspberryMatic.
My problems are:
The real devices do not seem to be active. They do not show the temperature anymore (what they did with the Homematic-App).
I see the two devices in the dashboard and the target temperature in the middle, which is 17 Celsius. This target comes from me by using the setting wheel.
Another temperature is shown in big numbers, here 21,6 degrees, which seems to be the current temperature. The numbers did not change for hours (target 17 degrees see above).
I tried to use the automation editor, but I cannot set the temperature there. I only see “present modes” boost, none, week_program_1, _2, and _3. Do I have to use RaspberryMatic to create them? Will they be synchronized with Home Matic automatically?
According to the screenshot the thermostats are set to the automatic mode. With this they always revert back to their programming. You have to set them to the manual mode to make use of the target temperature setting.
You can turn on the heating mode either by clicking on the “flame”-icon near the bottom of the card, or via the dedicated GUI when clicking the three-dot-button on the top right.
Homematic devices are not automated differently than other devices. That’s the whole point of Home Assistant. Please read the Home Assistant documentation more thoroughly if you are still struggling with these basic concepts. And no, in most cases you can do all the automations in the UI editor. Nowadays it is very rare that you need yaml.
I came across this thread and as it seems i have a similar issue. I have setup a raspberrymatic with a rf-transceiver for the old homematic rf based thermostats. I set up two thermostats in raspberrymatic and can see those in the ccu and homeassistant. Furthermore, i have added the two thermostats as widgets to my dashboard.
Now, if i want to change the temperature i can’t do that, because the thermostat is set to automatic. I tried switching the mode to “heating” but that get’s resetted after a few seconds back to automatic. I’m not sure if i’m doing something wrong.
I gave the homeassistant user admin rights within the ccu. I thought that might be necessary, but that also didn’t help.
If i set a temperature via widget and check that on my ccu i can see, that the temp is is set accordingly, but the widget still displays the old temperature.
