I installed HA under Virtual Box, It works.
But I couldn’t connect with Firefox by giving it the address homeassistant.local:8123 or homeassistant:8123.
Firefox gives me this message: "Um, we can’t find this site.Unable to connect to the server at the homeassistant address. If the address is correct, here are three other things you can try to do : ** Try again later.** ** Check your network connection.** ** If you are logged in through a firewall, verify that Firefox has permission to access the web." **
Do other browsers work besides Firefox? If so it is because Firefox has enabled DNS over HTTPS by default, and as a result it uses a different DNS server to resolve ip addresses, bypassing any local DNS you might have, and also whatever the DNS server is set to on your machine. You can turn this off in the Firefox Network settings, just uncheck “Enable DNS over HTTPS”. This caused me issues too.
